Last, but certainly not least on this list, the St. Anthony Sand Dunes. Just watch this GoPro VR: Sand Dune Jumping with Ronnie Renner video and tell me you don’t want to go riding this weekend! (Hint: Drag your mouse on the video to get a 360º view of the experience.)
Similar to the Bruneau Sand Dunes near Mountain Home, the St. Anthony Sand Dunes offer travelers something they may only see if they were to travel to Asia, that is, massive dunes of white, shifting sand. The St. Anthony Dunes, however, offer something that even the Bruneau Sand Dunes can’t, ATV off-roading adventures. You can tear through 11,000 acres of sand on an ATV or dirt bike. If you don’t own an ATV, you can rent a machinehere for the weekend. Be sure to wear the correct safety gear, and navigate the dunes wisely; there are no guided ATV experiences at the St. Anthony Dunes so be sure to plan your trip ahead of time and have fun riding over the 400-foot dunes!
