Once called Pierre's Hole, Teton Valley was the site of an annual rendezvous where fur trappers and traders would meet to exchange furs and supplies. Today, Teton Valley is a thriving community renowned for its outdoor adventure scene. Located on the western side of the world-famous Teton Range, summer brings opportunities for hiking, mountain biking, camping, fishing, and fun on the river, while winter brings opportunities for skiing at Grand Targhee Resort, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, and other winter fun.
Driggs and Victor make excellent basecamps, with plenty of restaurants to enjoy, whether you crave pizza, Thai food, or a stop at a local brewery.
The valley is also known for its ranching and agriculture, and a stop at the Farmer’s Market (held on Fridays during the summer) allows a sampling of some of the local fare. A growing number of restaurants also use locally-sourced ingredients, from beef and world-famous Idaho potatoes to salad greens. Sample the flavors, take in the adventure, and make memories to last a lifetime on your trip to Teton Valley.
