Shopping & Services

When you think of Eastern Idaho, you likely think of mountains, agriculture, a rich heritage, and outdoor adventure. Many people are surprised to learn the Yellowstone Teton Territory is also a good place for shopping.

Idaho Falls is home to the Grand Teton Mall along with countless shopping centers and large stores, from home improvement stores, to bulk shopping warehouses, to toy stores, and every furniture shop imaginable. But there’s also a dose of the unexpected.

Park your car in Old Town and slow down with a walk by the river. Pop into a few of the neighborhood stores for an eclectic shopping experience. This riverside neighborhood is home to Chesbro Music, the “metaphysical and oddities shop” Shaddow Domain, and the stalwart gear supply shop, Idaho Mountain Trading, among many other shops and boutiques. The Idaho Falls Farmers Market takes place on Saturdays May through October, and provides an excellent opportunity to shop for locally produced foods, as well as hand-crafted artisan items.

As BYU-Idaho has grown, the community of Rexburg has grown along with it. This college town now offers a plethora of shopping options. Home to everything from hip clothing boutiques to thrift stores with boundless variety—including a large Deseret Industries Thrift Store—Rexburg provides some of the best shopping in the region. Olive Ave Clothing Boutique on Main Street and Lulu Bella at Hemming Village are a couple local favorites. Also, be sure to stop by the Rexburg Farmers Market in the summer for hand-crafted goods and locally-produced food.

Teton Valley has a rural ski town vibe, with a number of boutiques in Driggs and a few in Victor. The valley enjoys an excellent selection of outdoor shops for those inclined to stock up on skiing, biking, fly-fishing, or other outdoor gear.

In Driggs, The Local Galleria is a one-stop shop for art lovers and artists. It carries art supplies and a wide selection of creations by local artists. Grab a locally-grown bite at Barrels and Bins, a small organic and natural grocer. The Wardobe carries clothing for every member of the family, and The Rusty Nail carries items for every room in your house. MD Nursery is a great place to stop for gifts, garden supplies, and fresh-cut flowers, and it's located next to the historic Spud Drive-In movie theater, which operates during the summer. Driggs hosts the Teton Valley Farmers Market every Friday during the summer months. Stop by for locally-produced meat, cheese, bread, produce, art, and more.

Victor is home to home décor shop Festive Living, as well as SUBA, which is a boutique offering piercing, jewelry, and more, as well as Moonshine Liquors and the world-famous Emporium (be sure to try a huckleberry milkshake). Victor Valley Market is a small grocery with options for all diets, a good wine selection, and an excellent prepared foods counter.
