No East Idaho is not your traditional shopping mecca but you will be surprised by what there is the Yellowstone Teton Territory.

Yes, Idaho Falls has the Grand Teton Mall and countless shopping centers with everything from Pier 1 to the Gap to every furniture store imaginable but then there's the unexpected. So park your car in old town and slow down for a walk around the hood and along side the river. Old town is home to Chebro Music, the curioso shop of Shadow Domain including the stalwart gear supply show, Idao Trading Company. Right in old town, you'll also find one of IF's best treasures, the Artitorium. The Idaho Falls Farmers Market occurs on Saturdays May through October. 

Rexburg is truly the diamond in the rough. Most people think Rexburg is a quick exit for a small farm community and a small college. Rexburg is actually one of the biggest growing concerns in east Idaho as BYU Idaho continues to grow in curriculum and student body. As the college has grown so have the businesses, and so have the options. From hip clothing boutiques to arcades and trampoline gyms, there are a lot of affordable and stylish options -- including one of the best and largest Deseret Industries thrift stores in the region. Be sure to visit Olive Avenue on Main Street and LuLu Bella in Hemming Village. BoutiqueThe Rexburg Farmers Market occurs on Fridays, 4-8pm.

Teton Valley has a bit more of a rural ski town vibe with a number of boutiques in Driggs and a few in Victor. From the jewelry and housewares at Guchiebird to the excellent selection of fly, ski and bike shops, Teton Valley can outfit any family that comes to town.Local Galleria is a one stop spot for area artists and art supplies. Barrels and Bins healthy food store carries a number of the local producers' products. The Wardobe carries clothing for every member of your family, and the Rusty Nail, an item for every room in your house. The local favorite MD Nursery for gifts, garden supplies and fresh cut flowers is midvalley next door to the Historic Spud Drive In movie theater which still operates during the summers. Victor is home to Festive Living, Whispy Gypsy, SUBA, Moonshine Liquors and the world famous Emporium. Victor Valley Market is a solid little grocery with options for all diets, a good wine selection and a prepared foods counter. Mountain Driftboat is located just west of downtown Victor on 32, past World Cast Anglers. The Teton Valley Farmers Market happens on Friday from 8-1, June to October.

For recreationalists, portions of the Caribou-Targhee National Forest begins in Clark County and consumes much of Eastern Idaho offering views of black bears, wolves, elk, moose, mule deer, bison and mountain lions. Cutthroat trout, brook trout and pike are found in the streams of the forest and overall the forest is considered one of the best fishing areas in the world for cutthroat trout.
