Idaho Falls

Idaho Falls is the hub of Eastern Idaho and the region's largest city with over 60,000 residents. Like many Idaho communities, its lifeblood is the river running though it. The Snake River in Idaho Falls has 10 miles of riverbank along the paved Idaho Falls River Walk, perfect for walking, jogging, or bike riding. Be sure to check out the 600-foot-wide waterfall that gives the city its name, and don’t forget to stroll around historic downtown, exploring the many shops and restaurants. Idaho Falls River Walk is also a favorite spot for festivals and activities, as well as free summer concerts.

The Museum of Idaho hosts varied and exciting exhibits, and the Art Museum of Eastern Idaho is an art lover’s dream. Families will love the Idaho Falls Zoo at Tautphaus Park (be sure to see the penguins). Idaho Falls also has plenty of ways to enjoy the outdoors with over 30 parks and recreation areas throughout the city, and challenging golf courses with reasonable greens fees to entice golfers. The city is also home to the State of Idaho Vietnam Veterans Memorial, located in Freeman Park.

Additionally, Idaho Falls is the regional shopping hub for the entire region, from West Yellowstone, Montana, to Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Check out unique and distinctive shops and boutiques, stock up at large, well-known stores, and bring your appetite for culinary adventure to enjoy a meal at the city’s many restaurants.
