Description

With snow beginning to fall, snowmobile enthusiasts across Yellowstone Teton Territory are preparing for another winter of exciting outdoor adventures.

Here are four tips guaranteed to make your snowmobile rides more memorable:

1. Film your ride

Filming your ride will not only make your ride more exciting, but at the end of the day, you can relax and watch a replay of your day.

2. Get the right gear

It is important to have fun while riding, but it is even more important that you remain safe. In order to be safe, you need to be sure to use and wear the proper safety equipment, including: a helmet, gloves, boots and body protection.

 3. Try new trails

New trails can be exciting. You get a brand new experience, and you can record cool videos with your GoPro. Though new trails are fun, it is important that you know what to expect when you get there. Before attempting the new trail, be sure you know where the trails starts and ends.

Some of the best trails in the country are found here in Yellowstone Teton Territory. One little-known area near Idaho Falls is the Bone Area. This area, located about an hour from Idaho Falls, features miles of trails perfect for all snowmobile enthusiasts.

4. Go ride with your family

Riding snowmobiles can be a family event. If you thought riding by yourself was fun, just wait until your spouse and children join you. You will not regret it.

You can all ride solo, or you can take your family out on a multi-person vehicle. Either of these options will create a memorable experience.

To make sure everyone has a fun, safe experience, you might consider receiving certification from the Idaho Snowmobile Safety Course. Though this is not required, anything you can do to ensure safety should be considered.

With snow already starting to cover the ground, now is the time to prepare for another great winter season full of snowmobile adventures.
