Since February 25th of this year, The Museum of Idaho has been housing, "BODIES...The Exhibition". This exhibition provides an intimate and informative view into the human body. Using an innovative preservation process, the Exhibition allows you to see and celebrate your body’s inner beauty in ways you never dreamed possible. With over 175 actual human bodies and specimens meticulously dissected and respectfully displayed, this exhibition offers an unprecedented and wholly unique look into your amazing body. Explore, experience, and celebrate the wonder of the human form.
This exhibition is a limited time exhibition. Meaning, they only have it for a short time. The exhibition will be here till September 5th of this year. To enable more people to come and see this fascination exhibit the Museum of Idaho is extending their hours during the next few weeks (Aug. 26-Sept. 5). These new hours will be: Monday, Tuesday, Friday and Saturday from 9 am to 8 pm. Wednesday and Thursday from 9 am to 5 pm and Sunday from noon to five pm.
One portion I would recommend, (although may be unsuited for some visitors), is the fetus cycle. It shows the cycle of what a baby looks like in the womb during the weeks following inception. My wife and I were about 8 weeks along when we saw this portion. It gives you an idea of what the little person looks like during their growth, up close and personal.
The entire exhibit is truly fascinating and enables you to see the body in no other way and gives you a true impression on the beauty of our bodies. Take part in this historic advance and see what the body is made of.
The Museum of Idaho is located in Idaho Falls, Idaho. It is south of Yellowstone along I-15. Find out more about this exhibition and the Museum of Idaho at www.museumofidaho.org
